One of the knitted treats I sent out recently arrived at its destination and has found a new home amongst friends!

This treasure finally arrived...believed to have been sent to the wrong address... 6 months late and clearly marked June 2012! Must have had a very exciting trip around Europe! I'm very happy it found its way. A lot of love in one envelope... and a fabulous Little Red Riding Hood ring to boot.

Oooh...well after a week in bed I managed to get to my art class I really didn't want to miss the life model. I'm glad I went!

I just love drawing and colour so much!!

Not only am I making soup to stay warm but I have also invested in some fabric to make curtains!!

I have never made them before... I need to get some lining fabric too so that's next on the list. Here's a peek at the curtain material! Nice, isn't it!

and in a bag that's my favourite colour too!!

I'm off to the post office today. I love going to the post office! Almost as much as I love receiving things through the post!

These 2 are off to some of my favourite people!

Following the success of these two chaps in their new homes I'm hoping the owners of these little gifts will be just as happy!

The weather has turned chilly and as is the case with many flats here ours is colder inside than outside!

This calls for soup!

Luckily we have a very good veg shop round the corner.

These carrots were too good to resist and well Bunny likes the tops too, so everyone's a winner!

Last year I treated myself to this book I know by definition soups are easy but sometimes you just need a bit of inspiration! I'm going to make the spiced carrot soup! Hmmmm.....

Well, I'm not doing very well with my online course...I have received the emails but I just haven't had the time to do the tasks... they do look good and I'm looking forward to starting soon!!

What I have done is taken some more TIN pictures. These belonged to my maternal grandmother who lived in Wolverhampton.

two little tins

I love the illustrations on the inside of this one

a nice little collection of fastenings, a tiny dice and a huge needle!

Happy New Year!!

I'm still working on things from 2012 so no resolutions for 2013! Just get these projects completed... carry on is my resolution.

so here are some tins... I've realised I've got a bit of a thing about tins... here are some goodies from my everyday tin selection.

This tin was not mine to keep.

However, I admired it while it was on the kitchen table!
This is the tin I keep my jewels in.
I got it when I was delayed at Schipol airport having visited my little sister when she was working here.

This is the tin I keep my paperclips in.

One of the best things about being a teacher is stationary supplies! I'm not a fan of the sweeties inside so I gave them to a friend who loves them!

These are my drawing pin tins.
I got them both in Hong Kong.

I have to say I much prefer the Spanish word for drawing pins, it's chinchetas!

I've also got a few from my grandmothers so I'll dig them out... I think it's important to know what's in the tin... normally buttons & fastenings of one kind or another and things that'll come in useful one day!
